2025 MSMD Scholarship Winner!

Congratulations to Ava Kale, our 2025 MSMD Scholarship winner! Ava is a graduate of Shakopee High School where she was involved in DECA, Student Council, Youth in Government, and a 4 year letter winner in tennis. She was a fantastic student with a 4.08 GPA. She recently started at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in political science and Spanish with the plan to attend law school in the future. Ava is a descendent of John Howland via her grandmother, recently passed member Barb Kale. Her application essay was particularly moving, as she saw the joy discovering and exploring her Mayflower ancestry brought to her grandmother. Please congratulate Ava and wish her well at the University of Nebraska!

Reminder to all members that the 2026 scholarship application will be coming online soon. Recipients can be the children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren of an MSMD member planning to pursue further education after high school graduation.
