2026 MSMD Scholarship Winner!

By Gudrun Mirick Mueller, MD

On behalf of the scholarship committee, we would like to extend congratulations to Cora Kristensen, our 2026 MSMD scholarship winner! Cora is a granddaughter to Minnesota member Kathleen Marie Buhr Rekowski and a descendent of Miles Standish. She is a graduating senior at Stillwater Area High School with plans to attend the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay majoring in elementary education. Cora has excellent grades, is highly recommended by her teachers, and is involved in multiple choirs. Her application essay showcases her lifelong interest in her Mayflower heritage noting its lack of presentation in her own schooling, a trend she plans to change once she becomes an educator! Congratulations and good luck this fall, Cora! email: gmirick@gmail.com.
